Cookies associated with the use of Ecomail.app

As of 1 January 2022, the operator of the website must obtain informed consent from the user for the use of cookies that are not necessary for the operation of the website or e-shop. Consent must be collected with all attributes according to GDPR. Otherwise, user data cannot be collected via cookies. The website user must be informed, among other things, which types of cookies are used and for what purpose.

Ecomail will be happy to help you comply with the information requirement. Please see below where and to what extent you should include Ecomail cookies in your list.

A. Cookies that we believe are subject to the obligation to obtain user consent

This is particularly relevant if you choose to use the Ecomail Tracker (also called tracking code, tracking script) on your website to track your contacts' movements around the site (purchases made, pages viewed, or custom events such as browsing a particular product or abandoning a cart).

The cookies that Ecomail uses within this tracker (and which you must therefore indicate in your list of cookies that the user of your website consents to the use of) are as follows:

Name Feature description Category Expiration
_sp_id Stores information about the user that is created when the user first visits the site and updated on subsequent visits. It is used to identify users and track user activity within a domain. This cookie stores a unique identifier for each user, a unique identifier for the user's current session, the number of visits the user has made to the site, a timestamp of the user's first visit, a timestamp of the user's previous visit, and a timestamp of the user's current visit. Marketing 2 years
_sp_ses It is used to identify whether the user is in an active session on the site or whether it is a new session for the user (i.e. the cookie does not exist or has expired). Marketing 30 minutes
sp Stores a unique user identifier generated by the server-side collector that is sent with all subsequent tracking events. Can be used as a first-party cookie if the collector is in the same domain as the site. Marketing 1 year

If you choose not to use Ecomail Tracker or our forms, Ecomail does not use any cookies within your site.

B. Cookies that, in our opinion, are not subject to the obligation to obtain user consent

If you use forms created in Ecomail to collect new contacts, these cookies (which you must therefore include in your list of cookies that the user of your website consents to the use of) are used, which are also necessary for the correct functioning of the forms and are not used for marketing purposes:
